I have been so busy getting ready to go to Hawaii that I havn't posted anything for quite some time now, well anything but pictures. I need to do this! I'm losing the ability to write because for a very long time now I haven't written anything but checks and brief, very, log entries, very dry and very brief. Not the kind of writing I used to enjoy back in the way back. So here we go, for starters we got a new ultra zoom camera for the trip 10X optical and 3X digital zoom and we have made a good start at learning how to use the new Kodak DX7590. I have been using the Canon A-20 for several years now and it is a good camera for portraits, indoors and close up picture taking but we went to Aruba two years ago and while we were there we saw an incredible number of different bird species in desert settings. I took quite a few pictures, using the shotgun aproach the canon A-20 did not make it easy to review pictures on the camera. When we got back home I had about a thousand pictures way too many desert scenes and no birds to be seen anywhere. On the bright side that should be a good excuse to go back again. Anyway I've been taking some distance pictures of birds and such with the new camera and I think we are going to be very happy with it. In addition to the ultra zoom the camera has a large bright display makes it very easy to read all the settings with just the push of a button. The DX7590 also takes video clips which will be nice for the beach. Well gotta go figure out how to insert a link in this thing, it dawns on me that I might not be able to put text links in with blogger I was just getting to like it.
